In preparing for an exit strategy for selling your business and Real Estate, we at TPSG, are commonly asked the question, “Should I do a facelift on the facility?” Does it make sense economically?
In response to this question, your priorities should be the areas most commonly seen by the clients. This would include the exterior of the building, reception/waiting area and exam rooms. These areas can usually be updated with some new landscaping and some fresh paint. These repairs are fairly inexpensive. You should also consider updating the waiting room furniture. We also recommend removing clutter from the rest of the areas of the practice and a good thorough cleaning.
A prospective purchaser likes a facility that has been well maintained, has updated color schemes and has limited odor. The cost of these upgrades will pay dividends when it comes time to market your practice.
If you are thinking of selling your practice in the next 3 years please contact one of our TPSG representatives for a review of your financial performance and some recommendations on up grading your facility.
