Many times owners that are considering selling are so focused on the financials and the numbers on the practice they forget to consider their physical plant. It is important, as owners, to be sure your hospital smells clean and fresh, is clutter free, is freshly painted inside and out, landscaping is well maintained etc. If any of these areas need attention, they will turn a buyer off when they visit the hospital just as much as poor cash flow. It is best for owners to address these issues before putting the practice on the market.
