Broker Tip – Preparing Early For Year End & The New Year

If you are an owner, as you head into fourth quarter of 2023, we recommend you start now to make sure you are ready for a busy end of year and the launch of 2024. It will be here before you know it. Check your bookkeeping records and accounts and verify they are up to date and reconciled, review anything that looks incorrect, and adjust it. Also, check that you have correct employee and contractor information. It is also a good idea to have a discussion with your CPA about any end of year activities you should consider in managing your tax position. You can also review your financial and operational reports with an eye to planning for the future – growth opportunities, staffing gaps, and so on. The end of a year is also a good time to reflect on your own leadership, identify areas that need improvement, and create a self-improvement plan for the coming year.
