Broker Tip – Retaining Associates For A High Value Practice Sale

Retaining associates is a requirement to complete a high value practice sale. Multi-doctor practice owners must plan ahead to retain associates during and after a practice sale. Sellers should accept that part of any sale to corporate should include paying a retention bonus to associates. These retention bonuses may total up to 5% of the sale price, when spread over all associates, and are paid out over three years.
