William Crank, DVM
Bill R. Crank, DVM, 1991 graduate of The Ohio State School of Veterinary Medicine, brings to TPSG over twenty-eight years of experience in the Veterinary Business.
In 1991 he founded a mixed animal practice in rural WV, worked with several associates over the years, and sold his two-million-dollar practice to his partner in 2018. He has a deep appreciation for associates and their contributions to a profitable business and he understands the demands and sacrifices of growing and selling a successful veterinary practice in a constantly changing environment.
Since 2013, he has worked with TPSG founder Dr. John Bryk to provide comprehensive appraisal services to buyers and sellers along the East Coast
In 2018, Dr. Crank and Dr. Bryk worked with 82 veterinarians to provide appraisals, facilitate buy-in/buy-out, or market and negotiate private and corporate sales.
Crank and his wife Amy live on a farm in West Virginia where they help manage his family owned agribusiness. They feed over one thousand head of cattle annually and run a bull test /cow-calf operation. In addition to the livestock business, they are involved in an extensive row crop operation.
Dr. Crank is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, and the West Virginia Farm Bureau.
His strong agrarian roots have been handed down to his two daughters who expertly showed livestock and participated in a variety of 4-H competitions including the Beef Expo and Livestock Judging. For recreation, Bill and Amy enjoy traveling with their daughters, scuba diving, and skiing. Working on his golf swing in his spare time is also an activity he enjoys.
“Deciding to sell a practice that you have poured your heart and soul into of 25 years is a very difficult decision to make. I made the appropriate management changes several years in advance to prepare for this day. I contacted and interviewed a number of brokers before deciding on Total Practice Solutions Group and Dr. Bill Crank. Dr. Crank and TPSG have guided me through the entire process from start to finish; with not just one veterinary practice, but two. As a former practice owner himself, Bill understands not only the financial aspects of the decision, but the emotional impact as well. I have talked with several colleagues that have already gone through this process with TPSG and they all have the same things to say; TPSG is professional, honest, and complete transparency. I am very happy I decided to work with TPSG. I would highly recommend them to anyone preparing to sell their practice.”
